After 15 amazing years, Sushi Kuni will be closing its doors at the end of June 2025.

This decision comes with deep gratitude for the incredible journey we’ve shared with all of you.

We opened Sushi Kuni in 2010 for our family and relatives, and we had no idea the sheer amount of kind and genuine people we would meet here in Grand Rapids. You all are the reason we were blessed to be in business for many years and worth every hot summer and crazy dinner rush services.

From birthday parties, bridal showers and surprise proposals we were able to partake in so many of your lives and are honored that you trusted us to celebrate with you all.

Thank you to all our staff throughout the years for working together, every single person is a reason Sushi Kuni was a place people chose to revisit year after year.

While Sushi Kuni’s story is coming to a close, we’re excited to share that the space will soon welcome a new chapter under new ownership “HaluDam” a full service Korean restaurant.
